Combine
India’s new-found economic and political clout with
increasingly influential diaspora and India’s status as
a global superpower and India is on a roll like never
before. But, our state-run schools and hospitals are in
a shambles, and infrastructure has become a bottleneck.
Vast swathes of our population do not have access to the
most basic needs (and rights)-civic amenities and a
decent education.
SPF’s
Developed India initiative will be geared for making
people aware of how India can emerge as a developed
Nation which is supremely powerful and well respected.
SPF will offer recommendations (based on research and
analysis) on what needs to be done. A blue-print will
then be generated on how to implement the
recommendations. Workshops, seminars, lectures will be
conducted and hosted of eminent national and
international personalities, research papers and
articles will be published in print and electronic media
so as to reach out and spread the message to Indians at
large.
One of the key
facets of SPF’s Developed India initiative will be the
Indian Model Youth Parliament. The Indian Model Youth
Parliament’s aim is to help students understand the
procedures, rules and regulations of parliament so that
they will be able to become good parliamentarian in
future. SPF wants the future parliamentarians to look
and act beyond party politics, and work towards a common
good which is the interest and the welfare of the entire
country. The Youth Parliament will be completely student
run and will have its own agenda which it has to discuss
and debate such as the Kashmir problem, increasing
literacy, improving health and sanitation and many more
such as advancing our nation towards becoming a
developed country.
The Youth
Parliament will debate on the above issues, pass
bills/resolutions, and will give
directives/recommendations to the agencies concerned
after a comprehensive and exhaustive discussion. The
procedure for passing a bill/resolution or giving
directives/recommendations will be as per the
Parliamentary rules and regulations. |
